LoLo and COVID-19

Nov 9, 2020

AS YOU KNOW, IT’S COVID SEASON.

These protocols are in effect as of Tuesday, November 24th, 2020

I know this is a lot of writing, so here are the top 5 things we would like you to know:

Top 5 Changes:

  1. By entering the gym, you have reviewed and agree to our COVID-19 Assumption of Risk Waiver.
  2. Out-of-town drop-ins: currently not permitted. We will welcome you with a distanced hug after a 14 day travel quarantine.
  3. Classes: are no longer in session. BUT! Open Gym times slots are available. You can only reserve 48 hours out and you must give two hours notice if you need to cancel. For now, we are no longer accepting free trials.
  4. Masks are mandatory at all times. This includes while waiting in the indoor LoLo Lounge (you will notice we have had to remove the furniture, but don’t worry this is temporary), during your workout/within your workout square and, of course, after your workout.
  5. We love you: but please don’t hang out inside after class. We encourage no more than 10 minutes before/after class. Unless you want to rock a parka and hang on the patio turf! Please use the exit hallway to leave the gym.

Classes [Currently unavailable. Check Zen Planner for our Open Gym time slots!]

  • Limited to 10 participants. Each individual will have their own workout square.
  • Please reserve your spot in class. We are currently restricting the number of people in the gym and require booking to ensure the gym is not too busy.
  • You can only reserve a class 48 hours out.
  • If you are unable to make your reserved class, you must cancel before two hours prior to class so that someone on the waitlist will have 2 hours notice. For 6:30am class reservations, you will need to cancel no later than 8:00pm the evening prior. We have a 3-strike policy: If you fail to unreserve a class 3 times, you will be charged a drop-in fee of $30.00 + tax.
  • Out-of-town drop-ins are currently not permitted. We will welcome you with a virtual hug after a 14-day travel quarantine.
  • Coaches are required to sanitize their hands and wear a mask.
  • Communal chalk buckets are discontinued. BYOC (bring-yo-own-chalk!)
  • Work those thighs, sanitize! Spray bottles of disinfectant and clean towels will be provided for you to wipe down any equipment or surfaces used during your workout.
  • Paired-down programming. Partner WODs have been eliminated and so has running outside (to reduce crowding). We have also adjusted the programming to require less equipment and to-and-from the rigs. As per the latest PHO, we have updated our programming from high intensity to low intensity programming (here we go STRENGTH TRAINING!). Click HERE for all of the current information on that.
  • Acknowledgement of scores at the whiteboard and the “LoLo send off” will be done from your squares. For now, we will have to virtually fist bump on SugarWOD.

Personal Training

  • One-on-one training is still available! We have a designated Personal Training area separate from the class space.
  • Personal Trainers are required to sanitize their hands and wear a face mask.

Members

  • Please sanitize your hands at the front entrance prior to entering the gym. Sanitize on the way out after your workout as well.
  • By entering the gym, you have reviewed and agree to our COVID-19 Assumption of Risk Waiver.
  • Masks are mandatory at all times. This includes while waiting in the indoor LoLo Lounge (you will notice we have had to remove the furniture, but don’t worry this is temporary), during your workout/within your workout square and, of course, after your workout.
  • Please minimize crowding. The main doors will be used as the entrance only, while the exit hallway will be used to exit the gym. Please adhere to physical distancing markers while waiting in the LoLo Lounge. Lastly, we kindly ask the you limit your time at LoLo to 5 minutes before and after your visit.
  • Cubbies are currently unavailable. Bring your belongings into your workout square.

Facility and Staff

  • Ventilation system is kept on at all times for fresh air flow.
  • Contactless payment.  We will process all payments through Zen Planner, Square, or E-transfer.
  • Revamping the LoLo Lounge. For now, we have removed the LoLo Lounge furniture to ensure that members have the space to physically distance.
  • Water fountain is unavailable for use. We recommend you arrive with a full personal water bottle.
  • Coffee bar and showers remain discontinued.
  • Increased sanitization of common touch points. This includes the water fountain, light switches, door handles, washrooms, counter tops, lounge stools.
  • Increased sanitization of equipment. Our Front Desk Team is on top of wiping down equipment between classes!

From us to you…

Everything we are doing is to pre-emptively approach this winter season and the Covid-19 unknowns it comes with. We wish we could offer more at this time and we need to stand by our values of loving on people and lifting up the community. As always, what that looks like is taking the safety of our staff and community very seriously.

Serving you all makes our hearts sing, it just might look a little different for the time being while we navigate this unprecedented territory.

Thank you so much for your understanding and your co-creation on this!

We are keeping up-to-date on the latest government and health authority recommendations. As such, LoLo’s COVID-19 Protocol is a living and evolving guideline, with your safety and well-being at the forefront of each decision made.
