Gym Renovation Featured in Box Pro Magazine! [CrossFit Gym Victoria BC]

This week we were lucky enough t0 have gym renovation featured in Box Pro Magazine! The feature talks about our ongoing renovations and the lengths owner, Kelsey has gone to to provide the most inviting space for our members.

While adding in more bathrooms is a big expense it was necessary for our building permit and is definitely a worth while venture adding in showers and another toilet. We expect the showers to draw in more members to the morning classes and welcome back those that have been waiting for it to happen!

For the ladies of our gym, you are lucky enough to be provided with a Dyson hair dryer, hair straightener and curling ions. The bathrooms will be stocked with towels for your use (not to be taken home). You will also be provided with local beauty products of shampoo, conditioner and body wash – you’re not going to want to shower anywhere else!

The bathrooms will be fitted out with black and bronze finishes, wood vanity and a large mirror with beauty lighting. Take a look at the plans in our previous blog.

“It will have a hipster spa feeling” – Kelsey Goodwin

Kelsey has been overseeing the whole renovation process; designing, ordering all the products and fitting out the entire spaces herself. She has gone through great efforts to cut costs to be able to add in some other ticket items. Kelsey hunted eBay for great deals on refurbished items such as; a drinking fountain, Dyson AirBlades and hair dryer, lighting, taps, shower heads, mirrors etc.

What else can we expect from the renovations?

The renovations have allowed us to venture out further from the bathrooms and into the front desk area. We will be making some minor changes to what you see when you first walk in. What kind of hipster/industrial (hip-dustrial some would say) gym would we be without barn doors?! Kelsey has found some beautiful barn doors to go with the rest of the decor of the gym.

We are adding a “member mural” to feature your wonderful faces doing what you love, working out!
